WHY CAN'T YOU CONNECT WITH WOMEN? - HEART AWAKENING MEDITATION

I have a client who has difficulties connecting with women.

He is in his late 50’s, has never been married & his last long term relationship was in the 1990’s. The relationship ended because the woman left him. He was devastated, heartbroken & never really healed. Instead he became cynical, started seeing sex workers & has been doing so for almost 10 years. Sure enough it never was fulfilling. He came to me for help to see if there is a chance. 
 

He is so yearning for connection, it hurts to witness. And he is puzzled why he can’t. He says that when he desires to connect with women (i.e. have sex), women are repelled & not interested. And he is an attractive, interesting & successful man.

I felt such deep compassion for his gentle heart. There is such fear of intimacy, rejection & hurt there. 

When a man approaches a woman, desiring to connect, but only leads with his sex center without bringing his heart into it, the connection will be temporary. A woman will not trust this man. 

I wonder if you have been in a similar situation in life - or perhaps still are? 

Maybe there was a heartbreak that you think is long forgotten, but your heart is still holding on to the pain?

Maybe the pain is hidden underneath a hard, numb sensation, that prevents you from really feeling anything at all?

You are alert, cautious & never really two feet in.
